2 Months Old!
Weighs: 13 lbs 4.6 oz (went from 25% to 83% average)
Height: 23 in (grown 2 inches - 77%)
Still has trouble sleeping during the day, but has decided he'll nap either in my arms (for hours) or sleep with me in our bed. (This is sorta nice because I get a nap too, but he has to be snuggled close to me for him to stay asleep, so if I try to move to get more comfortable he normally wakes up and is done napping.) He only gets to do this for daytime sleeping, not at all for nighttime sleeping.
Is fascinated by the bathroom shower curtain in the morning. We have a window by our tub so the shower curtain gets 'lit up' and he thinks it's amazing. It means that I can normally take a shower and just have him sitting in a bouncer looking into the bathroom from the hallway for like 15 minutes perfectly happy.
Consistently falls asleep to the washer going. If I have him in a bouncer on the kitchen table while the washer is going, he'll fall asleep. Unfortunately, the second the washer stops, he wakes up. He doesn't sleep to the dryer either.
Rolled over for the first time this past month, but hasn't done it since. I'm a little grateful for this because you can tell he really wants to be mobile.
Likes to stand up with you holding his waist/torso, and him supporting his weight and head. This will keep him happy normally until he's really hungry or really tired. If you do this while he's standing on the floor or table, he'll start to walk across it (or try too).
Still loves looking out windows.
Hardly takes a binkie anymore, even when really fussy. However, he will suck on my finger if he just needs comfort, but not the binkie. If you try and give him the binkie for comfort he gets more upset.
Coos and grunts and smiles at you when he's in the mood. My favorite is his little laugh that sounds like "hic-hic-hic-hic", as if he's choking almost.
Has a cold at the moment, so is all stuffed up, especially in the middle of the night (even with a humidifier). He hates the taste of the nasal drip too, because if he coughs he gets this really gross look on his face and then just tries to spit it out.
His first night sleep is normally at least 3 hours, usually about 4-5hours long, which means that I get a little good sleep. After that he's been waking up every 2 hours to eat. :\
Sleeps in his crib at night well, and likes looking at the 'rug' hangings.
Likes to watch Daddy do his work out at night and to be held by Daddy when he gets home from work.
Is a very good baby in the morning and lets Mommy clean up the dishes, eat breakfast, and put away laundry, etc.
After about 3:30-4pm Matthew's much more fussy and wants to be cuddled, and entertained by walking from room to room.
Still gets overwhelmed by church and lots of people. Congregational hymns are the worst because they'll wake him up, and then he's inconsolable until you take him out.
Still poops, farts, and burps like Daddy. Recently has been spitting up more too, but we won't say that's like Daddy.
