Well, while my family was in Pennsylvania for my Grandpa's funeral, we stopped by a store I'd never been to before called Ollie's. While we were there, I found this "Topsy Turvey" strawberry planter. I decided to buy one because (1) Ryan and I might be moving soon and this would be portable, (2) it means that we get more 'planting' space in our garden if we stay, (3) it was half price! compared to everywhere else you can buy it. While we were at Ollie's, I also bought a Betty Crocker cookbook and another book to read on the drive back to Denver.
But anyways, here are a few pictures of us putting together our strawberry planter and hanging it!

Extra left over strawberry plants (~20! We got 3-4 extra plants in our bucket of 25) |

Working on creating a rope to hang the planter from |

The planter was heavy, so this is after its weight is on the hook ;) |

This is our attempt to create an 'indoor herb garden'. This hopefully is a cilantro sprout (from seeds I planted), and not a weed I got from the potting soil of our tomato plants from last year. |
p.s. We are so excited to have home grown strawberries/berries this year so hopefully it works well enough!
