Camping Trip to Deadwood Resevoir

This past July we went on a camping trip to Deadwood Reservoir near Boise, Idaho.  We set up in the dark, pouring rain, but it was lots of fun regardless.  Alice got a bad sunburn the first day out riding motorcycles, but she recovered after having lotion and sunscreen plastered on her face for a month.

We went riding, fishing (no fish caught), and swimming in the cold lake.  Matthew loved his first fishing pole, which he then dropped into the lake.  We couldn't 'fish' it out of the lake either, and after that he didn't want to bring his fishing pole out in the boat; he would only fish from shore.

We explored an old mine, and found a hidden waterfall.  We also ate lunches cooked over the white gas camp stove and had Grandma and Grandpa Russell come visit in their camper.  Matthew loved them having a 'house' to stay in and play games.

Ryan and I, however, had a 'lemon' for an airbed, even though it was brand new it deflated within the first 2 days and never held air for more than 2-3 hours after that.  We returned it after we got back and have had no problems with the new one.  Luckily our hips and backs recovered after we got back into our waterbeds.
