Well for Memorial Day weekend we bought a couple packs of pop-it fireworks for Matthew to have fun with. He seemed to really enjoy them and loved stomping on them when they didn't pop right away. He kept saying 'These are all dead' or 'I killed it'.. I think he likes watching Daddy play Skyrim too much, but at least he only kills things by stomping on them or with his 'sword'.
We also got the crib set up finally, so I can show off the baby bedding I made. I also just finished my first quilt ever.. and my poor machine is so close to dead. At least it made it this far and my sewing projects are done for a while.
Ryan also took Matthew on an overnight motorcycle camping trip. Matthew did pretty well, but since it was the first night/day of summer it was pretty noisy and apparently Matthew had trouble settling down for sleep. Once they got to sleep he did fine though although he kept wiggling out of his sleeping bag in the middle of the night from readjusting his sleeping position. He's always been wiggly/noisy sleeper and I doubt it'll change anytime soon.
"Stomp Stomp Stomp"
Baby bedding.. and my first doll. (She needs some more stuffing, but I haven't gotten around to that yet)
I made the ties twice as long as the original bumpers, and they still were barely long enough. Bumper ties are so short normally!
New official DOT helmet, which he refused to try on without screaming/tantrums/fear, but now loves after his first ride with Daddy on the motorcycle. In fact he wouldn't let us take it off until he realized it was uncomfortable riding with it on in the truck.
He looks so top heavy, but seems to do just fine. He just looks like one of those bobble head dolls, although his head doesn't bobble.
First time wearing the goggles with the helmet.
All ready to go camping!
Matthew always waves, says 'Bye mommy, see you later" whenever he leaves me, even if it's a short trip up the driveway and back. Silly, cute kid.
Off they go, and Mommy got to stay home and watch a chick flick while sewing.
